Restoration are to bring long lost toy boats back to an attractive display such as Father, Grandfather or other. or just the urge to decorate as there is nothing as decorate as an antique model boat. Today companies have purchased old time toys and are having them copied off shore at fantastic prices. However these copied products will never be worth any more money, They were never played with and are not true American manufactured antique toys.

My first act is to clean the boat with Ivory soap and clean off some of the grime that has accumulated. Most of these pre 1950 toys were coated with a shellac based paint and can be cleaned-VERY CAREFULLY- with a damp rag and denatured alcohol.. This can also wipe off all of the paint so be very slow and careful.  Mechanical motors can mostly be fixed by specialists. Sails and rigging may be replaced with new material. Our wood shop can repair or make many parts.

All that is needed is a desire to bring back he glory of this toy. First step is to advise all he dimensions, take many photos and send to me. Within a week we will give you an estimate. If you wish to do the job yourself we will cheerfully offer parts and advice..
