Restored pond boat sailing on Lake Michigan

I recently restores an older Gaff rig pond boat for a customer in Chicago thinking he was going to display it. To make it realistic I added an automatic rudder and spring and boat stand. Much to my surprise he sailed in in Lake Michigan! It sailed very well and was fast. I am going to take another boat to my pool and see how it sails. Stay tuned.

    I was given a 30″ JACRIM, I think. is it worth restoring? I can send photos

      Gary – The 30 ” Jacrim is a fairly rare boat as I have only seen several in my 30 years of collecting. Yes it is worth restoring as it will never be worth less and I have all the parts. Send me pictures at seaworthy1924@yahoo.com. Bob
