Keystone Windup Boat
This Jacrim Keystone 13 inch wind up toy is from mid 1930 and is in almost new condition and is completely original. The wind up motor performs as new the original metal flag is on the bow, the spotlights are a little faded red. It may have never seen water or played with. There is no label but is shown in many Keystone catalogs at that time. A wonderful toy boat to display. The boat is 12 inches and the propeller guard adds another inch width is 2 5/8 inches its about 4 inches high and packed will weigh about 1 pound. SOLD

This 19.5 inch long Jacrim Sailboat is all original from the early 1930s Keystone Mfg in Boston with original sails, factory stand, original string rigging with brass adjusters, steering wheel, three nautical flags attached to the mainsail, each original screw eye has a brass washer, original two piece mast for easy disassembly and shipment. A very fine original example of this fine boat designed by MIT marine engineering graduate Chester Rimmer. Very hard to find in this condition and this complete SOLD

A Jacrim Keystone windup motor boat 12 inches long with original paint. bow flag with very little wear and the motor winder turns but the catch does not click in. I gave it a drop of oil and maybe it will free up. Seems to be all there. The boat shows very little wear for a 75 year old toy Click on he picture for more photos

Thia nifty 10 inch toy fire boat was made by Keystone Mfg. Boston Mass in late 1930s or early 1940s. A larger 14 inch boat is shown in the 1938-39 catalog. The catalog description is quoted as RUBBER HOSE BRASS NOZZLE REAL PUMP When placed in the water the child can work the plunger pump. The stream of water will come through the rubber hose and brass nozzle. This toy is all original except for a replacement brass nozzle. Probably if the pump o ring is replaced it would still pump water

Keystone double battery boat 18 inches long with a rudder for steering printed red deck natural shellack sides and painted white bottom the motor is complete and wired but I have never been able to get one to work with modern D cells This is a design by MIT Marine engineer Chester Rimmer and was a less expensive boat than the solid wood Seaworthy designs of the late 1920s The bow pennant and all the rest are original The battery holder says patent No 198902 a photo copy of the patent will be included Chester Rimmer designed the boat hull but someone else designed and manufactured the outboard

This finely made sailboat hull has been cleaned with fresh paint, varnish deck and accent stripe added and was probably build around the late 40s by an expert craftsman with hand made brass fittings even the stand is a work of art looking like a miniature boat yard stand There is no RC equipment included other than a rudder steering rod and a crude battery holder inside the hull Click on the photo to see more photos if they don't come up

This Keystone windup boat is not marked but has all the Keystone characteristics of Keystone boats of the 1930s. The deck is screwed to the frame making it an early boat as later boats were nailed The windup engine is strong and works well The propeller and rudder are original The brass key is a replacement Some of the printed deck is still visible on the deck but most of the deck and sides are natural mahogany color natural There is an epoxy patch on the bottom surrounding the motor drive shaft probably filling and repairing some event in that area The boat is 95 percent original SOLD
